Family run and owned since 1958 the Half Moon Inn is renowned for its hospitality and unique homely atmosphere. Situated in some of the most picturesque countryside in North Devon, Sheepwash once a thriving market town during the Middle Ages and major crossing point on the river, overlooks the beautiful Torridge Valley. Now, it is a small rural valley where peace and quiet reigns, even in mid-summer.

The cuisine is English and traditional, freshly cooked and prepared daily from local produce. The large and comfortable dining room seats up to 40 and offers a choice of over 340 quality wines. Service is friendly and personal, yet unobtrusive. We are always on hand to ensure that your meal is a memorable one. The restaurant is open to non-residents, but prior reservation is essential.

Let everyone regulate his conduct... by the golden rule of doing to others as in similar circumstances we would have them do to us, and the path of duty will be clear before him. - William Wilberforce
